L'Institut des sciences, de l'innovation et de la société de 
l'Université d'Oxford étudie actuellement les pratiques de partage des 
données en Afrique. La compréhension des pratiques actuelles de partage 
des données et des défis auxquels sont confrontés les chercheurs 
travaillant dans les pays africains permettra non seulement d'investir 
dans des infrastructures de recherche essentielles, mais aussi 
d'éclairer les formations futures.

L'Institut mène actuellement une enquête auprès de chercheurs en 
Ouganda, en Éthiopie, au Burkina Faso, au Sénégal, au Botswana, au 
Malawi, au Mozambique et au Zimbabwe. Veuillez envisager de partager le 
dépliant de l'enquête (ci-joint) avec vos communautés de recherche, même 
au-delà de la région WACREN.

Les données seront rendues publiques et contribueront à la mise en place 
de solides infrastructures de recherche en Afrique. En outre, les outils 
d'enquête (banque de questions d'enquête, site web clonable, code 
d'analyse, outils d'auteur,
et le modèle éthique) sera ouvert à la réutilisation pour encourager 
d'autres enquêtes.

Dear Community,

The Institue of Science, Innovation and Society at the University of 
Oxford is currently surveying data sharing practices in Africa. 
Understanding the current data sharing practices and challenges of 
researchers working in African countries will not only assist investment 
in critical research infrastructure, but inform future training.

The Institute is currently surveying researchers in Uganda, Ethiopia, 
Burkina Faso, Senegal, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Please 
consider sharing the survey flyer (attached) with your research 
communities, even beyond the WACREN region.

The data will be made open, and will contribute towards building robust 
research infrastructures in Africa. In addition, the surveying tools 
(survey question bank, cloneable website, analysis code, authorship 
tools,
budget and ethics template) will be made open for re-use to encourage 
further surveying.
