Dear ASSAf/TWAS Stakeholder



We kindly request that you assist the TWAS Regional Office for sub-Saharan
Africa (TWAS-ROSSA) in nominating suitable candidates for the *2015 TWAS
Regional Prize*. TWAS-ROSSA seeks to honour an outstanding scientist who
has contributed to the *development of scientific educational material *by
awarding an annual Regional Prize. The prize is awarded in fulfilment of
the TWAS objective of recognising, supporting and promoting scientific
capacity and excellence in the developing world. Scientific educational
materials are essential components for solving many local, regional and
global challenges that include poverty, health and sustainable development.



Nominations are invited from TWAS and AAS fellows, fellows/members of
National Academies and Young Academies in the region, Research
Institutions, Research Councils and Universities in the region. The
nomination of women is encouraged and nominees must be nationals of
countries in subSaharan Africa.



More information is provided on the attached call for nomination document
and  kindly use the form to submit your nomination. All nominations must be
sent to twasrossa at assaf.org.za by* 19 May 2015*.



Please kindly note that late submission will not be considered.
