[Community] FUTMinna OA Book Workshop Highlights & Upcoming Authoring Events

Dear colleagues,

I’m pleased to share recent milestones from the *BookHub: Fostering
Academic Self-Reliance in Nigeria through Open Access Books* initiative,
hosted by FUTMinna’s Academic Publishing Centre.

Last month, the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMinna) hosted
Nigeria’s first national workshop on Open Access book publishing, convening
APC Directors, authors, librarians, and institutional leaders to
demonstrate the AI-enabled BookHub platform, adopt a national framework for
OA Book Publishing, and advance discussions on Diamond OA models and policy
integration.

All workshop materials and the signed Academic Publishing Centre Framework
for Open Access Book Development in Nigeria are now available at the

 These efforts are part of our broader vision to empower Nigerian scholars
and institutions to reclaim ownership of scholarly communication. Learn

We're now planning authoring workshops to support scholars and librarians
in creating high-quality OA books as well as a national stakeholder
conference in August/September.
