The Central Africa Peering Forum (FPAC/CAPF) takes place in Yaound? on 30 September to 1 October. WACREN will be there, and we intend to use the opportunity to explore how we strengthen our engagement in Central Africa, including whether there is a case for a regional hub built on existing infrastructure, institutions and communities already active in the sub-region. This is a conversation that benefits from being had in the room, not after the fact. It would be good to have colleagues from the WACREN community in Cameroon and the wider sub-region there. Please also pass this on to university, NREN, research, infrastructure and Internet community contacts who should be part of that conversation. If you are planning to attend, or know people in Yaound?, Cameroon or elsewhere in Central Africa whom we should be engaging, do let me know.
